Chhattisgarh Achieves Milestone: First State in India to Return Money to Investors
Raipur: Chhattisgarh has taken a stand, against chit-fund companies that have targeted unsuspecting investors, causing financial hardships for many. In a move, Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh has not taken decisive action against these scams but has also made a commitment to reimburse the affected investors.
As proof of his pledge Chief Miner Baghel personally supervised the reimbursement of Rs 73,53,784 to 1388 investors from 996 dricts across the state. The event occurred at his office in the capital city on Wednesday. Under the Chief Miners’ guidance an impressive amount of Rs 81 24 lakh 37 thousand 92 has been returned to 99 thousand 656 affected investors throughout the state.
The government of Chhattisgarh has been proactive in tackling this issue regering 208 cases against 462 chit-fund companies involved in practices. Notably than 700 directors and officials associated with these companies have been apprehended for their participation in these activities.
