Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel Criticizes PM Modi’s Manipur-Chhattisgarh Comparison as Insulting
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Miner, Bhupesh Baghel has strongly criticized Prime Miner Narendra Modi’s statement regarding the situation, in Manipur. Baghel expressed his disappointment with the Prime Miner for not addressing the pressing issues that have been affecting Manipur for the three months including acts of violence and assaults against women. According to Baghel, it is concerning that the Prime Miner remained silent on matters especially considering his recent visit to Chhattisgarh during an election tour where he failed to address concerns about law and order in his speech.
The Chief Miner further expressed his discontent with Home Miner Amit Shah’s visits to Chhattisgarh as no attention was given to address the law and order situation there. Baghel criticized the government for comparing Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan to Manipur even though they acknowledge that Chhattisgarh’s situation is relatively stable and incomparable, to the issues faced Manipur.
Baghel emphasized that the people of the country are more concerned about the dire situation in Manipur and that the Prime Miner should have addressed it during his visit. He expressed his disapproval of the attempt to associate Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan with Manipur to divert attention from the critical incidents occurring in the latter.
Regarding the decision taken on employees, Baghel shared that the employees are content with the measures taken, and various organizations have expressed their gratitude to the government.
The Chief Miner’s statements reflect his concern over the political narrative surrounding the issues in Manipur and his commitment to addressing the welfare and stability of his state, Chhattisgarh. He stressed the need to prioritize the welfare of citizens above electoral politics, calling for responsible governance and attention to pressing matters affecting the country.
