Chhattisgarh CM’s Operation Muskaan Rescues Children from Various States

Raipur: Under the guidance and instructions of Chhattisgarh Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh Police launched the Operation Muskaan campaign across India to locate missing children from the state. From June 1 to June 30, the campaign resulted in the recovery of 559 children who had gone missing from various states.
The primary focus of Operation Muskaan was to locate missing girls, and it is noteworthy that a significant number of the rescued children were girls. Prompted Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel, the Home Miner Tamradhwaj Sahu directed Director General of Police Ashok Juneja to conduct an extensive operation to address the issue. In response, Inspector General of Police CID S.C. Dwivedi supervised the state-wide campaign, ensuring its success. The Superintendents of Police and nominated nodal officers in each drict played a commendable role in successfully implementing the campaign.
The Chhattisgarh Police compiled a comprehensive l of missing children from all dricts in the state, based on which the Operation Muskaan campaign was carried out. Dedicated police teams were formed in each drict, which diligently searched for and recovered the missing children. During the campaign, a total of 559 children were rescued.
Out of the recovered children, 72 were boys and 487 were girls. Significant numbers of missing children were found in dricts such as Janjgir-Champa (76), Raipur (56), Bilaspur (52), and Sakthi (52). The success of Operation Muskaan brought joy and relief to the missing children and their families as they were reunited.
The Chhattisgarh Police should be praised for their commendable effort in prioritizing the safety and well being of children. The Operation Muskaan campaign is an important initiative that tackles the problem of missing children. And it reinforces the governments’ unwavering dedication to safeguarding the rights and welfare of all children in Chhattisgarh.
