Chhattisgarh records 25.32% positivity rate
Chhattisgarh recorded a 25.32 percent positivity rate on Thursday, as compared to more than 27 percent on Wednesday.
Now, Chhattisgarh stands at the 11th position nationally vis-a-vis active cases, said Dr Subash Mishra, Director, Epidemic Control.
The state has shown an overall reduction in positive cases and active cases. The reduction of positive cases till Wednesday night was recorded in 16 districts while there was a slight increase in positive cases.
The slight rise in positive cases was reported from Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma districts of Bastar division, Dr Mishra told the media.
Based on the active and positive cases in districts, all medical equipment, medicines and devices are being distributed rationally. Now, information on availability of beds including ICUs is available on the website, he added.
He said now the service of virtual outpatient department at Dr B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Medical College here is being extended to other districts. This will help patients in remote rural areas.
He further added the state has achieved 100 percent vaccination of the first dose of frontline workers and 89 percent for health workers.
On vaccination of those above 18 years and till 44 years, Dr Mishra said a committee has been formed under the Chief Secretary to finalize the process. Until then the drive has been postponed.
