Chhattisgarh Reports 11 Swine Flu Cases

2 out of 11 suspected cases of swine flu recuperate.The state health dept has issued instructions to Hospitals and CMHO.People instructed to stay alert and maintain sanitation.

Raipur: The central state of Chhattisgarh recorded 11 suspected swine flu cases (H1N1). Out of the total 11, two have been reported to have recuperated and are under home care.

Taking cognizance of the situation, the Health Dept has issued an alert in the state capital. Speaking about the rising cases, Health Miner TS Singh Deo has appealed to people to stay put amidst the surging count of COVID-19 and Monkeypox in the country. The State health dept has issued a note stating necessary instructions to the Medical colleges and hospitals, private set-ups and Chief Medical and Health Officer to curb the situation.

Dr Subhash Mishra, director of the epidemic control department, said, “Swine flu has been reported from seven dricts so far. There are 4 people from Raipur. Two patients have been detected in Raigarh and one each in Dhamtari, Durg, Dantewada, Rajnandgaon and Bastar dricts. The hospitals treating him have just given preliminary information. It was reported that two of them have been cured. While 9 patients are being treated in hospitals in Raipur. It will be reported to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) soon.

Symptoms of H1N1 include fever, cough, sore throat, throat irritation, body ache, headache, diarrhoea and vomiting.
