CM gifts Durg hockey Astro Turf
Durg is going to get a new Astro Turf to shape hockey talents, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced on Friday.
He also announced Rs 10 crore for different works under the Municipal Corporation of Durg.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for works worth Rs 223 crore in Durg district. He was addressing the dedication ceremony, an official communication said.
Apart from sporting facilities, he said the government was committed to the development of Durg district mainly in infrastructure. He dedicated the surgical unit and ‘Hamar Lab’ at the District Hospital.
It would provide services at cheaper rates as compared to the private sector. The surgical unit has 10-bed ICU and critical care facilities.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, around 2,000 women will work across the district. The work of water conservation and conservation, water testing and water management will be done by them.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a Transit Hostel built at a cost of Rs 10.41 crore in Durg. Officers coming to the Durg after transfer will get temporary accommodation facility here till quarters are allotted to them.
