CM to inaugurate renovated Maa Kaushalya temple today

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the renovated Kaushalya temple at Chandrakhuri in Raipur district on Thursday and formally dedicate to the public the tourist spots developed under ‘Rama Van Gaman Path’.

Around a dozen Ministers are expected to attend the programme.

Beautification and renovation work of the temple of Kaushalya, the mother of Lord Ram, has been done in Chandrakhuri at a cost off Rs 31.68 crores.

A three-day function from October 7 to 9 is to be held at Police Academy Ground, Chandrakhuri, to mark the occasion.

Local ‘Manas Mandalis’ and folk artistes of state will perform with artistes of national and international repute. One of them will be singer and music director Shankar Mahadevan.

A special song composed for the occasion by Indian rock band ‘Indian Ocean’ will be played.

This beautification work of Chandrakhuri is the start of development of 75 tourist spots of ‘Rama Van Gaman Path’ which will be developed in several phases.
