Corona patient jumps off AIIMS, dies

A 26-year-old Covid-19 patient at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here died on Tuesday night after jumping from its second floor, police said on Wednesday. The incident took place in the D Block of the institute, said Inspector Bharat Lal Bareth of Amanka police station. A resident of Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district, the man was admitted to AIIMS on April 26, Bareth said. The patient jumped from the window of a bathroom. He was rushed for emergency treatment but he succumbed to his injuries.

A probe is on to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step.
