Covid-19 test mandatory or face FIR

It is mandatory for people in Raipur district to undergo Covid-19 test if they come in contact with a Corona positive person or a FIR will be filed against them, it was announced on Tuesday.

Raipur Collector Saurabh Kumar has issued this order, an official communication said.

The Collector has authorized Executive Magistrate and Naib Tehsildar N.K. Sinha to comply with the order.

In a review of contact tracing work of Covid-19 positive persons, the Raipur Administration found that some people who came in direct contact with patients refused to give samples for testing, it said.

On Monday, the state reported 297 Covid-19 cases including 18 positive cases in Raipur district. There were no deaths in the state.
