Covid positivity rate 19%, steady decline
The Covid positivity rate in Chhattisgarh is declining steadily over the last six days. On May 9, it was 19 percent.
Based on the results of 48,732 samples tested on May 9, a total of 9,120 individuals were found Covid infected. The positivity rate has fallen below 20 percent for the first time after April 5, 2020 when it was 18 percent.
On May 4, 2021, the positivity rate in Chhattisgarh was 28 percent. On May 5, it slipped to 25 percent and to 23 percent on May 6. It was 20 percent on May 8 and 19 percent on May 9.
In the previous week as well, a significant decline was noticed in the positivity rate of Raipur district, an official communication said on Monday.
On May 2, the positivity rate of Raipur district was 31 percent, which has gradually declined to 15 percent at present.
On May 3 and 4, the positivity rate in Raipur was 25 percent. On May 5, it slid to 21 percent. On May 6 it fell further to 18 percent and on May 7 and 8 to 16 percent. Positivity rate in Raipur on May 9 was 15 percent.
