CPL Auctions Held Today; 300 Players Shortled
RAIPUR: Auctions for Chhattisgarh Premier League were held in the capital city at the Vagtern Court hotel today. Thousands of state players were under the hammer at the bidding today. Around 300 players out of the two thousand were picked up teams today, a source in the know said.
Miner Amarjeet Bhagat; and Urban and Local bodies miner Shiv Dahria solicited the event as the chief guest. Chhattisgarh councilor Praveen Jain also attended the bidding event.
All matches of the league will be played in Raipur across the stadiums in the state. In Raipur- Shaheed Veer Narayan Stadium, Sector 1 Cricket Stadium in Bhilai and Raja Raghuraj Singh Cricket Stadium in Bilaspur have been shortled. The lesser-known stadiums like Mahatma Gandhi and Gandhi Stadium in Ambikapur and Jagdalpur will also witness the games.
The matches that will begin on January 26th and end on 12 February will have 8 men’s teams and 3 teams in the women’s category. The women’s tournament begins from January 26th while the men’s tournament starts from 30th January.
The first season of CPL was organized Mr. Manish Pandey, Chairperson of Youngaan in 2016 with a motto to promote young talents of the state.
