Districts empowered to satisfy people: Baghel
District administrations have been given a free hand to work in line with the sentiments, expectations and demands of the local people, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Sunday.
As part of a strategy, problems are being identified based on the local conditions and circumstances and solutions are found and implemented to bring relief to the public, he said.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people through the monthly radio programme ‘Lokvaani’. It was the 21st episode, an official communication said.
Baghel said that each person is being empowered and their participation in the development of the state is being ensured to achieve the vision of ‘Nava Chhattisgarh’.
Greeting people on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Nava Khai and Vishwakarma Jayanti, he urged people to take precautions while celebrating the festivals. Everyone must take forward the great legacy of social unity, harmony and peace.
He said the formation of new districts will benefit the people.
Baghel said a ‘Chhattisgarh Millet Mission’ has been launched to facilitate farmers for producing minor cereal crops. The plan is to enhance their production and processing in the state.
On the health sector, he said the Malaria-Free Bastar drive has yielded positive results. The positivity rate has come down from 4.6 percent to 0.86 percent in the last one year.
