Don’t let your cattle graze standing crops: CM Baghel
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday urged farmers not to let their cattle roam free as they may graze unfenced standing crops. Otherwise, they must be sent to Gauthans where sufficient fodder is available, he said.
“By the grace of God, monsoon has reached the state in time and sufficient rainfall has been received. The farmers are now busy in agriculture work anticipating a good crop this year,” he said.
The government is committed to make them available seeds and fertilizers and these are stocked in cooperative societies, he said.
The Chief Minister warned the farmers about the seasonal diseases to the livestock. The farmers should immunize their cattle to save them from these diseases, he said.
With a shortage of chemical fertilizers including urea, the gauthan-made vermi-compost and super compost will be sold to farmers for organic farming, he said.
