Economic activities to continue in C’garh: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said that irrespective of the third wave of Covid-19, economic activities in the state will continue.

He was addressing an event after transferring money to beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana here, an official communication said. He released an amount of Rs 5.37 crore.

He said the earlier two Covid-19 waves had been defeated with the cooperation of the people. The third wave would also be overcome with the same spirit.

Therefore, with utmost care, the economic activities in the state will continue, he said.

Baghel said that vaccination was necessary to protect oneself against Covid-19. The people should strictly follow the Covid guidelines and take precautions.

Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choube said the government had approved 10,591 Gauthans, out of which 7,889 have become functional. About Rs100 crore had been earned from dividends of vermicompost and other products.
