Ex-Deputy CM’s three family members killed
Five persons including a minor were arrested on Wednesday on charges of killing in Chhattisgarh three family members of Pyarelal Kanwar, a former Deputy Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh.
The tragedy took place in Bhaisma village on the outskirts of Korba town earlier in the day. According to police, a property dispute led to the murders.
Inspector General of Police (Bilaspur) Ratanlal Dangi said the incident took place early on Wednesday.
“Three members of the family of Pyarelal Kanwar were killed including his son Harish, daughter-in-law Sumitra and granddaughter Ashi,” the official said.
“Prima facie it was found to a family dispute. A total of five arrests were made including of a minor,” he said.
Among those arrested were Harbhajan and his wife Dhankaur.
