Former CM Slams Baghel Govt on FIR Against OP Chaudhary
Raman Singh slams Baghel govt on FIR regered against BJP member- OP Chaudhary.Claimed the state govt is politically conspiring against the opposition.Illicit mining is being carried out in Raigad, Korba and Katghora- says Raman Singh.
Raipur: Amidst the ongoing politics over Hasdeo Arand Coal Project, Former CM Dr. Raman Singh in a press briefing slammed the Baghel govt for the complaint filed against opposition memeber and former IAS officer OP Chaudhary. He claimed that the FIR was a conspiracy spiralled the state govt to mask its illicit trades.
Calling the ‘Baghel’ govt ‘corrupts’, he said that it’s officials were flouting rules openly. According to Singh, govt officials have been carrying out illicit trade of coal from Raigad, Korba and Katghora.
On Saturday, an FIR was filed agaisnt former IAS officer on the complaints of Congress leader Madhusudan Das from Bankimongra, Korba, under sections 505 (1)(b) of the IPC (with intent to cause, or which is likely to cause, fear or alarm to the public, or to any section of the public where any person may be induced to commit an offence against the State or against the public tranquility).
It is being said Chuadhary on May 17th, had tweeted a video in which several people were seen digging an open cast mine with pickaxes and gathering coal in sacks.
Alleging that the video was from the Gevra mines of Coal India in Korba drict, Chaudhary wrote in a tweet, “This is an open act of organised Mafia Raj. Thousands of labourers are openly engaged in coal theft. Everything has reached beyond imagination in Chhattisgarh.”
The video was widely circulated on the social media, following which a probe was ordered.
