Former CMD of HCL Under CBI Scanner; Agency files Compliant
CBI files case against five employees of HCL.Employees charge for corruption and cheating.The CBI had launched a search at residences of former CMD on Friday.
Raipur: The CBI has regered an FIR against five people including two former CMDs of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL).
According to sources in the know, the current CMD of HCL Kailash Dhar Dewan along with former Director (Operations) Santosh Sharma, and AGM Vivek Gupta conspired againsy HCL corporation and tendered to STPL Chennai for extracting metal from tailings in the pilot plant of Khetri Copper Complex. The investigation also revealed that the pilot plant was forced shut down due to non-receipt of the desired quantity of metals like gold, silver and silica.
The central agency has filed a complaint for corruption and cheating against the CMD Kailash Dhar Dewan, former Executive Director (Materials and Contracts) Dilip Kumar Mahajan, General Manager (Projects) Vinay Kumar Singh, former Director (Operations) and former CMD Santosh Sharma and then Assant General Manager (Industrial Engineering) Vivek Gupta
The CBI on Friday conducted search operation at the residences of former CMD of project Hindustan Copper Ltd Santosh Verma.
