Govt to simplify public services: CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said his government is committed to simplifying and improvising public services.
He was addressing the inauguration of the new Deputy Registrar office in Sector-19, Nava Raipur, virtually.
The office will cover 41 villages mainly in Nava Raipur (6), Arang (20) and Abhanpur block (15). At present, these villagers have to cover 40 km to reach Raipur for registration. The Chief Minister also launched the scanning and digitization work of the registration department’s backlog documents and digital e-stamp facility.
He said the government has taken continuous steps to improve governance. Maximum processes, including issue of birth and caste certificates and land registration, have been simplified. Most facilities are available online.
He said now the Nava Raipur office is the 99th registration office. In 2020-21, the government got Rs 1,589 crores from registration of documents. Of this, Rs 545 crores was received in Raipur district alone.
Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agrawal also addressed the event.
