Madhya Pradesh and CG to See Low Rainfall Activity in Next 5 days
A north-south trough runs from southeast Madhya Pradesh to Comorin area.East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are likley to recieve heavy and isolated rainfall on Monday and Tuesday.Northwest India and over Central India is likely to witness subdued rainfall activity during the next five days.
New Delhi: Northwest India and over Central India is likely to witness subdued ranfall activity during the next five days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday. The western end of monsoon trough is running to the north of its normal position and the eastern end along the foothills of Himalayas.
A north-south trough runs from southeast Madhya Pradesh to Comorin area at lower tropospheric levels. A cyclonic circulation is lying over Comorin area and neighbourhood.
Under the influence of these systems, IMD predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh along with Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Telangana amongst other places.
Thunderstorms accompanied lightning and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) at isolated places have also been predicted at isolated places.
As for September 6th, heavy rainfall is expected in isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Thunderstorms accompanied lightning & gusty winds (speed 40-50 kmph) at isolated places are likely over places on East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
