Madhya Pradesh: Mortal remains stolen from crematorium

BHOPAL: Mortal remains of a person were allegedly stolen from a crematorium in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday evening.
This is the third such complaint that police have received about the crematorium at Datiha village under Unchehra police station of the district.

One Rajkumar Gupta, a resident of Unchhera died a couple of days ago, his kin used to visit the crematorium twice every day, but when they visited the crematorium on Wednesday evening they found that the mortal remains have been stolen, said police.
“A complaint has been received and the matter is being investigated,” head constable at the Unchehra police station, Arvind Singh told TOI.
Sources said that this is the third such incident at the Unchehra police station, earlier around three years ago a similar complaint was received, in year 2015 also a complaint was received and person was also arrested in this connection.
The accused who had stolen the mortal remains for performing some black magic in year 2015, died while he was out on bail, added sources.
