Man Murdered Over Witchcraft Suspicions; Bastar Police Arrest 6, Including Hired Assassin
Bastar: In a durbing incident in the Bastar drict of Chhattisgarh, a man named Sirha Mangdu Baghel from a village was brutally killed based on suspicions of practising witchcraft. The dark scheme involved an amount of 85,000 rupees being paid to two hired assassins to carry out this act.
Initially, one of the attackers violently hit Sirha on the head with a stick. While he was injured and defenseless, he was then taken to an area with vegetation where the brutal assault continued. This ultimately led to his life being cruelly ended one of the killers choking him to death.
After committing this act, the murderers tried to get rid of Sirhas body taking it to an area and discarding it in a drain before fleeing from the scene. However, their attempt to escape justice was short-lived, as the vigilant local police managed to apprehend them before they could elude capture. Following an investigation, law enforcement arrested six individuals connected with this horrifying incident, including the two contract killers hired to carry out this crime.
Currently, all those accused are facing charges related to murder and are in police custody. As per the information provided Jagdalpur City SP Vikas Kumar, the details have been provided regarding the incident. The person who became a victim of this event was a resident of Mardiya Para in the Khandrasara village. He was known to work as a sweeper in his village. Tragically, his life came to an end on August 8th. His decomposed body was found in a drain after five days, which led to the initiation of an investigation.
