Minor Girl’s Body Found Floating In Well

Korba: Body of a 17-year-old girl was found floating in a well in Korba drict of Chhattisgarh and her school bag and clothes were also recovered near . Police suspect it to be murder. They said the deceased was staying at her relative’s place for her studies.

The body was spotted villagers and police have lodged an FIR in the case after seizing the body. The incident took place in Maheshpur in Katghora region of Korba drict, where the girl used to live with her relatives for her studies. She has been identified as Vidya Gaud. She was a native of Ranjana village.

Police have recovered a school bag with books as well as some pairs of clothes scattered on the ground outside the well. This indicates murder after attack, police said.
