Narva scheme is ambitious: Baghel
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said the ‘Narva Development Yojana’ is an important scheme and relates to conservation of forests, increasing ground water and biodiversity and bettering the lives of tribals, forest dependents and farmers.
He also distributed incentive remuneration of Rs 71 crores to more than 8 lakh tendu patta collectors on Monday.
Baghel virtually performed the Bhoomi Pujan of 37.99 lakh structures related to ground water conservation for 2021-22 under the scheme. The structures will be built utilizing the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA).
He said that tribal farmers will receive water, which indirectly will help in increased agriculture production and value addition of minor forest produce.
