Naxalites Supply Chain Busted in Bastar, 9 Arrested

Bastar Police arrested explosives suppliers Intelligence Reports aided the Police in nabbing the culprits.Big set- back for Naxalites in Bastar region Bastar: In a successful operation on Saturday, Bastar Police nabbed 9 culprits in connection with the supply of explosive materials to Naxals in the area. Acting on an intelligence report, the police sought action. The arrests are being called an important achievement in curbing the activities of the Naxals. Sources reveal that 9 people were arrested in Kodnar’s Bastanar Kaklur road while they were on the way to deliver explosives to Naxalites. A huge amount of booster, codex wire, detonator, safety fuse and axle wire have been seized the Police. Meanwhile, a month ago in June a cadre of Naxalites was arrested security forces in two dricts of the Chhattisgarh Bastar region. On the same day, three Naxals who were tasked with supplying rations and medicines to the Naxalites also surrendered. Gelatin Box, tiffin bomb and other objectionable items were also seized in the Police investigation.
