Naxals Protest Against Bastar Fighters Recruitment

Narayanpur: Naxals in Bastar have been protesting the recruitment of Bastar Fighters.
Reports have been making rounds which show dug up roads and banners set up at the Raynar Chowk of Orchha causing all the vehicles to take alternative routes.
In 7 dricts of Bastar division, more than 2800 local youth and women are to be recruited in Bastar Fighters. The Bastar Fighter was constituted in the year 2021 to offer employment to locals in the age group of 18-28 in the entire Bastar subdivision, comprising seven dricts affected violence between Maos and the State.
According to Bastar IG Sundarraj P around 2100 posts of Bastar Fighters constable are available. More than 53 thousand applications have been received for recruitment for the posts of Sub Inspector, Platoon Commander and Subedar.
