Orange Alert Issued In Chhattisgarh

Orange alert issued for 5 dricts.The possibility of lightning is there.Cyclonic circulation in Jharkhand affecting the weather conditions.

Raipur: The Meteorological Department in Chhattisgarh has issued an orange alert for 5 dricts claiming the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Besides, a yellow alert has been issued for Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg divisions. Heavy rainfall is expected in Surguja, Jashpur, Mahasamund, Bijapur, and Narayanpur dricts in next 24 hours. There is possibility of lightning in Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur.

Meteorological Centre Raipur tweeted today morning, “Heavy rainfall warning for Chhattisgarh”.

Orange alert means that the adminration should remain vigilant of the situation and be ready to deal with it. The department has also warned for a cyclonic circulation of upper air that is extending up to a height of 5.8 km in and around South Jharkhand. Due to this, a low pressure is likely to form in next 24 hours.
