Baghel told the Prime Minister that the guidelines issued by the Central and State Governments are being properly followed. The number of tests per day per 10 lakh people has increased. The tracing process has been expedited.
The positivity rate is declining continuously, the Chief Minister said.
The number of Covid patients has fallen. He said special attention was being paid towards rural areas.
Modi was also told that the entire data regarding bed availability in government and private hospitals as well as Care Centres has been made available online.
The Chief Minister urged Modi to help overcome the issue of vaccine shortage by providing adequate quantities to Chhattisgarh. Baghel said there was no shortage of oxygen in the state.
He, however, requested Modi to allow oxygen supply in 80:20 ratio –. 80 percent of the oxygen supply to hospitals and 20 percent to industries so that the latter may resume production.
According to an official communique, the Prime Minister assured the Chief Minister that both his demands would be considered on a serious note.
