Private labs, hospitals can do Covid anti-body test

The Director of Health Services in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday said that private pathology labs and hospitals do not need permission to do Covid-19 anti body test.

In a circular to Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) of all districts, the Director clarified that these private institutions can very much conduct the test.

They only have to follow the guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) which prescribes a definite kit for testing anti-body, the circular said.
