Public mandate approval to C’garh model of govt: Congress
The Congress said on Thursday that the results of the civic bodies’ elections were as per expectations and people across the state had shown their trust on the Congress government’s Chhattisgarh model.
In a statement, PCC chief Mohan Markam said the support from across the state, from Bastar to Surguja, was a mandate based on welfare works initiated by the government led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
“The people of Chhattisgarh have given their consent to the policies launched by the state government,” he said.
The Congress had taken care of each and every section of the society in the past three years, be they farmers, tribals, labourers, women or youths, Markam said.
He added: “People have rejected the chargesheet released by the BJP and approved the development works initiated by the Baghel government.”
