Rapist Ram Rahim got parole, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh got bail, in Manipur women were paraded naked: Is this the law and order of our country?

Sexual harassment of women wrestlers: Delhi court grants regular bail to WFI ex-chief Brijbhushan Singh

A Delhi court on Thursday granted routine bail to outgoing WFI chief and Indian Bharatiya Janata MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a sexual harassment case against a wrestler.

The court also granted bail to the suspended Indian Wrestling Federation (WFI) deputy chief Vinod Tomar.Additional Chief Justice Harjeet Singh Jaspal said, “Subject to certain conditions, we will grant bail of 25,000 rupees at a time.”

The city court ordered the defendants not to leave the country without prior permission and not to solicit witnesses in the case. The Delhi Police on June 15 filed charges against the six-time MP under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 (Assault or Criminal Violence against Women with Intention to Violate Their Humility), 354A (Sexual Harassment), 354D (Stalking) and 506 (Criminal Intimidation). The court reserved a decision on Singh and Tomar’s bail requests earlier in the day.

After hearing the defendant’s attorneys, the prosecution, and the petitioner’s arguments, the judge reserved the order.During the hearing, the public prosecutor representing the Delhi Police asked the court to try the defendants according to the law and set certain conditions if compensation is awarded.

When the court asked the prosecutor if he opposed the bail request, the prosecutor replied, “I neither oppose nor support it.”

“The application should be processed in accordance with the law and the order of the court,” he told the court.

The plaintiff’s attorneys dismissed the motion on the grounds that the defendant was highly influential. “Bail should not be granted. If it is granted, strict conditions must be imposed. Witnesses were occasionally approached, but never threatened,” he told the court.

The defendant’s attorneys told the court he complied with all conditions.”There are no threats. It would be held. The law is very clear. He should be on bail. He swears to abide by the terms,” defense counsel said in court.

What is the condition of the law in India, it is clearly visible from the many incidents happening day by day. There is no doubt about the manner in which India’s law is losing ground in the name of women’s safety. Don’t know why Smriti Irani, who sought votes in the name of women’s safety, does not like to speak anything now. On the one hand, Brij Bhushan, who harasses a female wrestler, gets bail. On other side Ram Rahim, accused of rape, gets parole again and again. The video from Manipur is a shame for the whole country. So is this the law and order of our country. In a country where the law and order situation has become so weak, our central government is busy preparing for the coming elections, except worrying about everything else. Fake Manifesto will not be accepted by people of inda .The central government will have to take concrete steps regarding the legal system for the safety of women.
