Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Gujarat: BJP’s only focus is development

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan began his Gujarat election tour on Monday, addressing public meetings in Mehsana near Gandhinagar on the first day.
The chief minister also accompanied Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) nominee from Mehsana Surendra Patel, during the filing of his nomination.
“I have reached Mehsana today. I am filled with new energy after witnessing such a huge crowd who has shown its confidence and affection towards the BJP,” Chouhan tweeted after addressing the meeting.

The chief minister said that development was the top agenda for BJP, whereas the opposition is only involved in criticism.
“Those who have been opposing Ram Temple are now busy visiting temples. The country has touched new heights of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said the chief minister. He also supported the Gujarat government’s decision to increase the height of Sardar Sarovar dam and recalled the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and Sarder Patel in saving the country from casteism.
He said divisive forces in the country were creating rift in the society on the basis of caste.
Sources in BJP said that the chief minister is among the star campaigners for the saffron party in Gujarat.
