Skip recommendations, provide beds in genuine cases, says CM Baghel
Raising concern over recommendations for beds in major hospitals, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday underlined that hospitals should give beds based on the severity of the disease and not under any pressure.
He said this while holding a virtual interaction with representatives of social organizations, heads of different communities and health department officials, an official statement said.
He directed that the process of availability of beds should be fixed. The severity of the disease should be the top priority, instead of bowing to recommendations. This will help the genuine patients.
Baghel said that oxygen-related beds and ventilators should be provided to the patients in critical stages.
He said the pace of vaccination in the state has picked up. The Covid-19 test numbers has also risen. But Chhattisgarh is daily recording a higher number of positive cases as well as deaths, which he admitted is a matter of concern.
He appealed to the people not to leave their homes unnecessarily. If anything has to be got from the market, then go alone instead of with the whole family.
