Some succeed, some fail: Baghel on rotating CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said now that three years are going to pass, nothing has happened to change the head of the government on the basis of a rotational principle.
Talking to a private news channel, Baghel said “efforts are made by persons but some succeed and some do not”.
Without naming anyone, he said this time success was not achieved by the contender for the Chief Minister’s post.
“The buzz over rotation of the CM after two-and-a-half years is now over… Now three years have gone by,” he said.
Baghel reiterated that the Chhattisgarh government had increased the income of farmers and tribals.
Regarding charges of withdrawal of PMAY, he said: “If the state was not able to contribute matching grants, it is because the Centre is not issuing the state’s share in Central Excise, GST compensation and royalty as a penalty for allocation of coal mines in the state.”
