SP puts up posters of Yogi
In protest against the FIR registered against party president Akhilesh Yadav in Moradabad, the Samajwadi Party on Monday put up posters and hoarding in Gomti Nagar carrying the pictures of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the SP chief.
The hoarding also listed the details of the FIR registered against Akhilesh Yadav in Moradabad and the cases withdrawn by the state government against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The police, however, removed the posters.
Recently, an FIR was lodged against Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and 21 other persons in Moradabad following a scuffle of the party cadre with the journalists.
Akhilesh Yadav on March 11 had visited Moradabad to preside over a training programme for the party cadre. Later he addressed a press conference in a hotel in Moradabad, where he had a heated exchange with a local journalist over questions asked by the local reporters.
Later, the SP workers allegedly assaulted the journalists and the police registered an FIR naming Akhilesh Yadav.
The SP district president of Moradabad also lodged FIR against the local journalists.
