Stones Pelted at Vande Bharat Express at Nagpur; 6 Held

CHHATTISGARH: The Vande Bharat Express window panes were broken as stones were thrown at the train connecting Nagpur Bilapsur, a fifth incident ever since its launch, said Indian Railways.
The incident took place on Sunday at the Kamathi railway station at 2:14 pm after the train left Bilaspur. The Railway Police swung into action and arrested 6 children. It added that the window panes of the coach C6 were damaged due to stone pelting however no passengers were hurt.
The accused, on grounds of being juvenile were handed over to the parents and were instructed to be present at Children’s Court Nagpur.
India’s sixth Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off Prime Miner Narendra Modi from Nagpur on Sunday, 11 Decemeber. The train, which will run from Nagpur to Bilaspur, will be having six stops including Gondia, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur and Bilaspur. The new Vande Bharat Express will be running at a speed of 130 to 160 kilometers per hour
