Take swift action against chit fund companies: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday called for fast action to get back the deposits of investors from chit fund companies which cheated them.

A committee of District Collector and Superintendent of Police should review the progress of action taken every week, he said at a review of the Home Department here, states an official communication.

Baghel also called for expediting the cases of tribals detained in the jails so that they can be freed.

Under the Naxalites Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme, all surrendered Naxalites should be extended benefits of the welfare schemes, he added.

He sanctioned a proposal to procure houses constructed by the Chhattisgarh Housing Board by the Home Department to provide housing facilities to police personnel.

The Chief Minister called for strict action to check activities like betting, gambling and illicit liquor business.
