RAIPUR: Naxals killed a villager on suspicion of being a police informer on Saturday night, said officials on Saturday.
The villager belonged to Kharipathra of Amlipadar police station area. As per reports, Ramdev went missing from Saturday, so his family went looking for on Sunday and found his dead body lying in the Sante forest near the Odisha-Navrangpur drict border, about 15 km from Amlipdar police station.
Officials said that three Naxals according to a statement eye witnessess dressed in civil dress kidnapped the localite and took him along into forest. The Naxals are said to belong to Udanti Area Committee.
The SDOP has confirmed the incident and mentioned to have launched a search operation in the vicinity of the forest area. A case has also been regered against the unknown naxalites, he added.
