Wave of change in UP, claims Bhupesh
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the people of Uttar Pradesh have decided to end the ‘Mafia Raj’ through a wave of change.
The real issue is of farmers, whose rights the BJP government failed to protect. Baghel was addressing a public meeting at Hussainganj and Khaga in Fatehpur district in favour of Congress candidates. He said that under BJP rule, the farmers have been at the receiving end. The crops have been damaged by stray cattle while they did not receive the right price for their produce. The payments were also delayed. The promises of providing jobs for youths and protecting the self-respect of Dalits have been belied.
The BJP government failed to deliver the promises made to people. Under BJP rule in the Centre and Uttar Pradesh, inflation has shot up and the prices of essential commodities have gone high, he said.
