Will include intellectuals’ views in work plan: Minister
The perspectives of intellectuals will be incorporated in the work plan aimed at eliminating malnutrition from Chhattisgarh, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya said on Monday.
Bhedia was addressing a state-level symposium here on “Nutritious Chhattisgarh: Scenario and Challenges”, an official statement said.
“Chhattisgarh is ahead in several yardsticks. If we improve in certain yardsticks on which we lag behind, we will be the leading state in the fight against malnutrition,” she said.
She said the government was committed to eliminate malnutrition from the state and continuous efforts were on to provide dry ration, cooked food and ready to eat meals to the beneficiaries even in far flung areas.
Bhedia appreciated the field staff who worked hard to combat malnutrition even during the pandemic.
