CM announces 3% DA to electricity employees

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday announced a hike of 3 percent in Dearness Allowance for the Chhattisgarh State Power Companies employees.

Apart from it, a bonus/incentive of Rs 9,000 was also announced. A total of 16,000 officers and employees will benefit from the announcement, an official communication said.

Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Chairman Ankit Anand said that at present the employees are getting 28 percent DA. With the hike, they will receive 31 percent DA.

This will be calculated from July 1, 2021. Pensioners will also be extended the benefit.

He added that the employees eligible for bonus will be given bonus while other officers-employees will be given incentive. It would put a fiscal burden of Rs 15.8 crores on the company.

The Chhattisgarh Electricity Employees Union Federation thanked the Chief Minister for the initiative.
