Covid positivity rate slides to 0.26 percent
Positivity rate in Chhattisgarh has further dipped to 0.26 percent on Saturday, a government statement said, adding a total of 38,644 samples were examined in which 102 cases of infections were confirmed.
No new cases were reported in three districts and only one fatality was reported across the state. The districts with zero cases are Bemetara, Kabirdham and Gariaband.
Health department officials say that so far 1.14 crore samples were tested across the state. On an average per 10 lakh population 1487 tests are being carried out on daily bases, which is far better than the national average 1306.
The active patients in state stand at 1863 and it’s primarily because more patients are cured in comparison to the new cases detected. The testing rate in state is also far better than the national average. Since the outbreak of pandemic, state had tested 3, 95,335 samples per 10 lakh population while the national average is 3, 42,961.
