(AP Photo)Minneapolis Protests ICE Shooting Live Updates: Protests are being held in Minneapolis after the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old woman, Renee Nicole Good, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer who was part of the Trump adminration’s immigration crackdown. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has called for the people to stay calm, as schools in Minneapolis have cancelled their classes and activities as a safety measure. State and local officials have demanded that ICE exits the state immediately but Homeland Security Secretary Kri Noem said that agents aren’t going anywhere.
Trump on ICE agent shooting woman: US President Donald Trump on Thursday reacted to the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis and said that it was “a vicious situation” as he stated that the deceased woman, shot an ICE agent, was at fault as she tried to “run over” the officer. However, after watching the surveillance video, the US president struggled to justify the response the ICE officer and said, “It’s a terrible scene. I think it’s horrible to watch. Who was Renee Nicole Good?: Renee Nicole Good, shot and killed an ICE agent, was a US citizen and a mother of three children, a poet who had moved to Minnesota last year along with her partner. She was born in Colorado. Good had two children, aged 15 and 12 from her first marriage and her 6-year-old child’s father died in 2023, AP reported.
