Priyanka hits out at govt on issue of unemployment
Congress General Secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Uttar Pradesh on the issue of unemployment.
Joining the party’s social media campaign on the employment issue with the hashtag ‘Students Want Jobs’, Priyanka tweeted, “The government of the advertisement knows all the false propaganda, distributed jobs on Twitter, Yogiji bypassing the youth, who are public.”
As part of this campaign, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s brother and former party president Rahul Gandhi on Friday tweeted, “Students want jobs, but the government is paying – police poles, water gun splashes, anti-national tags, and unemployment.”
Priyanka also said, “There was a promise of 70 lakh jobs for the youth of Uttar Pradesh, but lakhs of posts are lying vacant. The youngsters are worried while waiting for the results, results, and joining.”
Not only this, Priyanka wrote in her next tweet, “The farmers’ income is doubling in the false advertisements and paper palaces of the BJP government. Even the meeting has not taken place. Farmers are nowhere in the priority of a government with an anti-farmer mindset. Embattled between government and farmers regarding agricultural laws, significantly, for the last few months, many farmers’ organisations have been demonstrating on various borders of Delhi.”
She said the farmers’ demand was to withdraw the three new agricultural laws and enact a law guaranteeing the minimum support price but the government termed the three laws as a major step towards agricultural reforms, saying that this would benefit the farmers and they would have many options to sell their produce.
