Spirituality needed for peace of mind: Baghel

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday stressed the need for a balance between the body and the mind and said peace of mind can be attained only through pursuing spirituality.

He said this while inaugurating jointly with Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey an All India Administrative Conference organized for administrators, executives and managers under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav aur Swarnim Bharat Ki Or’ programme.

The conference was organized at Shanti Sarovar of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya in Raipur. The topic of the conference was ‘Spirituality for Excellence in Administration’.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that a balance of body and mind was necessary to live a balanced life.

When the mind was balanced, there will be no turmoil in our thoughts, which is the foundational element of any work that a person intends to do.

If the mind is in a balanced state, it will remain calm and work efficiency will increase. This will be good for self, family as well as the society, he said.

Baghel said that our sages, after thousands of years of research, have taught the path of spirituality and meditation to utilize our minds to the full potential.

He called upon the people present in the conference to find out time to maintain a balance of body and mind while adopting the path of spirituality and meditation.

Chhattisgarh High Court Justice Gautam Chauradiya, Home Secretary Arun Dev Gautam and Indian Institute of Technology (Raipur) Director Rajat Moona also attended the programme as special guests.
